Gia Liu is a Colombian startup founder and fintech professional who moved to the U.S. in 2015 to pursue his education and career in financial services.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in San Francisco, earned his master’s in Boston, and later moved to Chicago, where he worked in financial services before becoming one of three co-founders of an AI startup called Fintegral.
As his company began to grow, Gia needed a fast and reliable H-1B visa solution for founders to continue building his business in the United States. He recently obtained his H-1B visa with Tukki.
Q: What were your biggest concerns about the visa process?

Q: How did you feel when your visa was approved?
G: I cannot describe it. It was overwhelming. It was a happy moment. It was a very happy moment.
Q: What would you recommend to founders choosing a legal partner?

With a lot of law firms, they’re very good at legal things, but they’re very bad at processes. Having that business mindset and allowing your team to be efficient is a great plus.
